Long time no see. And soon to be a slightly less long time but still no see, in all likelihood, unless learning arabic turns into sitting around doing nothing important on computers, which I doubt. Yes, it's that time of year again, off to nerd camp to do....nerdy things.
So we'll see how that goes, but in the meantime I'm super, super bored, which is really depressing given that I just got a 360 to complement my PS3. Yes, I make them play nice...actually, I keep them in different rooms on different floors of the house, but thats only cuz I want internet access for my PS3 so I can murder people in Resistance, which the good old English Church is apparently trying to get pulled. Yeah, good luck with that. (hundreds of people killed in gun battles in "photo-realistic" recreations of the Manchester cathedral) Yeah, sorry, it's not even close to photo-realistic, you're fighting friggin' bug/alien things, all in order to save humanity. So, yeah, settle the hell down. So, I tore through the Gears campaign on casual and hardcore, and then ran into a brickwall on insane and decided that I'm just not mysoginistic enough to put myself through that. Between that and Oblivion sucking major cock (I'm sorry, I don't want my games so "realistic" that I can get my allies to try and kill me for no god damn reason, never mind my fucking HORSE getting pissed cuz I saved its ass from a wolf; they need to tone down the aggression factor on all your buddies and neutral NPCs, Jesus...), I've basically got nothing to play other than the last couple bits of God of War, which I just got back into today. I kinda tried with Disgaea, but it's wearing off quickly. Whatever, Mom & Dad get back from Italy tomorrow, so I ought to be able to procure Crackdown/XboxLive access soon, which should keep my busy until WCATY, which is only a week away.
I put LiZ on the back burner for an indefinite period of time, and I'm working on a fun little mash up of Gears, Starcraft and Heart of Darkness as a little summer project. 50 pages in and its gonna be shit, but I don't singularly care.
So, yeah...I need to do SOMETHING other than just play videogames this summer cause they're not holding my attention all that much. Resistance is fun, but I can only ever play 30-45 minutes of it before I want to go and do something else. Gears online sounds super fun, and I guess I could track down Ty's gamertag and play with him too. Whatever, I'll be clean for 3 weeks, and that might be all it takes to recharge my gaming batteries for the rest of the summer.
Got through school fine, firmly on top of the competition now, so I guess this little foot race is more or less locked up unless something catastrophic happens. Like apathy.
And now I have an interest in greek emo/metal, but the whole damn site is in greek and they're still too small to have popped up on anyone else's radar. Oh well, just looking at the art that dan did for the site is fun. That and trying to pronounce the words to the songs.
spice must flow!
